Educational proposals
The museum’s activities with schools are based on three proposals: guided tours, educational workshops and educational packages.
Guided tours
Guided tours adopt a frontal but participatory approach. They deal with themes of in-depth study of the history of the area and the working methodology of historical research, particularly archaeological research. They stimulate the students’ curiosity, inviting them to understand more abstract concepts from objects and illustrations.
Educational workshops
The educational workshops adopt a practical approach, involving both individual and small groups work; they represent a moment of encounter between knowledge of the historical and archaeological heritage and creative experimentation. After a brief introduction on the theme to be developed, the pupils are guided to plan and carry out various practical activities, linked to manual skills or personal research.
Educational packages
The educational packages integrate mixed activities: the frontal lesson, implemented with the aid of video-projection, and the practical workshop.

Duration: guided tour 1 hour; educational workshop 1.5 hours; educational package 2 hours.
Fees: for schools in the Municipality of Ozzano dell’Emilia the activities are free of charge; for schools in other Municipalities: guided tour 30 euro; educational workshop 50 euro; educational package 70 euro. Fees are per class and per activity; they include any costs for materials.
